映像インスタレーション

金属バットで街中の金属製の物体を叩いて発生する音で日本の唱歌『故郷』を奏でる映像を作成しました。展示空間ではヘッドホンを使用し、外部にはやや暴力的な行為の映像のみが現れます。ヘッドホンを着用すると美しい旋律が聞こえます。

私は生活圏のありふれた風景にふと懐かしさを感じることがあります。
それが歌で啓蒙された結果である気がして、郷愁の甘さに反応する自分の感覚はなんとなく疑っています。
なので撮影は、金属バットに彩られる類の記憶を用い硬質な懐かしさとして捏造しよう、というような動機で始めました。
しかし実際発生した音のきれいさに、私は戸惑いました。

衝撃は媒体を通して柔らかい物語に包まれて耳に届きます。
手軽で、どこにでもあり、誰でも手に入れられる物語です。
それは怖ろしいほど心地よいメロディーなんだと思います。

I made the video that plays Japanese song 'Furusato (Hometown)' by using sounds generated from beating things of metal quality in the town with the metal baseball bat. Only the image of a little violence act appears on the outside to use the headphone in the exhibition space. When the headphone is worn, a beautiful melody is heard.

I occasionally suddenly feel nostalgia in everyday scenery of the living space.
Because I think that it is a result that it is enlightened by the song, I am doubting my sense to the sweetness of nostalgia.
I started filming by the motive of fabricating hard nostalgia by the metal baseball bat.
However, I was puzzled to the beauty of the sound actually generated.

Shocks are wrapped in soft tales through media, and reach ears.
They are easy, are also in where and are tales which anyone gets.
It is a too comfortable, scary melody.

※’Furusato (Hometown)’ is a typical song of Japan composed at the beginning of the 20th century.
